Lentos Art Museum Linz

The Lentos Art Museum is located directly in Linz on the Danube. Its impressive architecture characterizes the cityscape of Linz. The modern, transparent glass façade makes the Lentos and the Danube glow in bright colors at night. A striking feature is the oversized "picture frame" that breaks through the structure to reveal a beautiful view of the Urfahr district and another landmark, the Pöstlingberg. The Lentos Art Museum offers modern and contemporary art in a special ambience. Works of art from the 19th century, through classical modernism (Klimt, Schiele, Kokoschka) and expressionism to current contemporary art positions (VALIE EXPORT) are presented. In addition, special exhibitions provide insights into diverse themes and epochs of art or are dedicated to the work of individual artists. Families are welcome!
