Valhalla in Donaustauf

Valhalla - King Ludwig I of Bavaria wanted to build a heaven of joy for the most important personalities of the German tongue with the temple inaugurated in 1842. High above the Danube, on the Bräuberg near Donaustauf, towers this mighty classicist building, which was built by the court architect Leo von Klenze on the Greek model. It is one of the most important classicist buildings in Germany.
