Danube Trail
Anyone who likes hiking should not miss the Donausteig. For almost 450 km, the well-developed hiking trail follows the course of the Danube from Passau to Grein. On this route you will experience natural highlights, such as the Schlögener Schlinge and cities like Passau and Linz. The wide variety of the offer can be seen on the one hand in the surroundings and the landscape and on the other hand in the cities along the Donausteig. The trail is suitable for long-distance hikes, but also for those who want to make a day trip.
Danube Cycle Path
Those who prefer to travel by bicycle will not be disappointed on the Danube. The Danube Cycle Path is an international cycle route and runs from the source of the Danube to its mouth in the Black Sea. Of the total 1200 km, about 360 km are in Austria, starting at the German border near Passau, the route follows the course of the Danube through Vienna to the Hungarian border. This route also has something for everyone - from various options for day or weekend trips as well as long-distance routes.

With a cool bike beer or cider, snacks and snacks can be enjoyed especially well.
